OUR VISION

Strong and vibrant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities, who are able to engage fully as partners with the wider Australian community. Adding value by bringing with them the strengths, knowledge, resilience, and wisdom, that is part of their history and the heritage of their children.

AIMS

The aim of the National Coalition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Workers Association Inc is to bring together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social workers as a professional body, to exchange information, ideas, and to network for the benefit of our communities.

OBJECTIVES:

In consultation with our communities, to identify areas of need and find ways to successfully address them through the utilization of community development processes, the skills and expertise found within social work, and by networking with other professional bodies, educational institutions, government and non-government departments and organizations at all levels, to assist in finding a way forward that fits the needs, goals and aspirations of our communities.
