Raising the Standard and Vision: The Voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Workers
Australian Catholic University, Signadu Campus,
Canberra, Australia.
3 - 4th of June 2006
Our first National Conference of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social workers has happened.Organised by the NCATSISWA the conference brought together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Workers, students, and other professionals working with our communities from all over Australia and New Zealand. The conference gave us all an opportunity to meet one another face to face, to broaden and strengthen our networks, to get an idea of how many of us there are and the work that we are involved in. It was also a unique opportunity to meet and learn from many of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander innovators of social work practice in Australia. The conference was hosted at the Australian Catholic University, Signadu Campus, in Canberra. Thank you all for coming along... please check back on this site for more information on the conference outcomes and achievements. For further information contact NCATSIWA at info@atsisw.org
